Child Care Facilities Program
The child care facilities program works with all child care providers in Johnson County. According to Kansas Child Care Licensing Law, anyone providing care for children other than those related by blood, marriage, or adoption, must be licensed or registered wit hthe Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Child Care Education Program
This program provides educational consultations on child development, health, playground, food, and lead safety through on-site observations, telephone contact, and the child care program office. Education materials and resource information on early childhood topics are also available, and workshops are provided by child care staff or community partners on a wide variety of topics. Adult Care Programs and Education
The adult care program assists the public with genral considerations in making a nursing home choice, promotes quality care through workshops, consultations, and monitoring visits, informs the public regarding the complaint process, and monitors nursing homes, Home Plus (one - five bed homes), adult day cares and assisted living facilities in Johnson County.
