Adult Care Programs:

The Adult Care Program works to:

• Assist the public with general considerations in making a nursing home choice.

• Promote quality care through workshops, consultations, and monitoring visits.

• Inform the public regarding the complaint process.

• Monitor nursing home, Home Plus (one to five be homes), adult day care center and assisted living facilites in Johnson County.

Elder Smiles:

The Elder Smiles program provides access to dental care for those without the physical or financial means to vist a regular dental office. The program provides preventative services as well as identifying oral health problems, make appropriate referrals, and provide oral hygiene education to residents, families, and staff at on-site adult care facilities only.
