The Johnson County Health Department provides prenatal services in order to foster healthy growth and development during pregnancy and to promote a safe delivery for mother and baby.

Prenatal services are only available at our Olathe location. Proof of Johnson County residency is required.
Appointments are necessary for prenatal care. For information or an appointment,
call (913) 826-1200.
Skilled staff to meet the needs of mother and baby:
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners
- Registered Nurses
- Social Workers
- Registered Dietitians
- OB/GYN physicians from the University of Kansas Medical Center
- Delivery and hospital services provided by the University of Kansas Medical Center
We also provide:

Pregnancy testing and counseling
- Physical examinations on admission, through pregnancy, and postpartum
- Laboratory testing in a CLIA approved laboratory
- Assessment and counseling with social workers and dietitians
- Adoption services referral
- Individual/group education and videos
- Postpartum home visits
- Birth control methods and natural family planning
- Diagnosis and treatment of minor health problems
Paying for Prenatal Care:
- An appointment is necessary for prenatal registration clinic to complete required paperwork.
- Partial payment can be made.
- Accepted payment includes cash, check, or major credit card.
- No one is denied service due to inability to pay.
- Fee-based client accounts may be subject to collections if not paid.
