This program ensures the health and the safety of the residents of and visitors to Johnson County, in the event of a biological attack or large scale disease outbreak. This is accomplished by:

  1. Continued preparedness planning and assessment of response capabilities,
  2. Increasing the epidemiologic capacity and surveillance activities,
  3. Enhancing communication abilities with in the county,
  4. Enhancing ability to disseminate health information during a crisis, and
  5. Provide educational and training opportunities to key players and general public.
