The Johnson County Health Department provides Well Child and Young Adult health exams which foster growth and development of healthy children and young adults from 2 months of age to 21 years of age.
 
  • To provide Well Child maintenance which includes growth measurements, developmental screening, physical exams and laboratory testing at age-appropriate times as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  • To provide age-appropriate immunizations.
  • To provide age-appropriate counseling of common childhood concerns (nutrition, toilet habits, discipline, dental and safety concerns).
  • Recommended physical exams every one to two years between the ages of 6 to 21 years
  • Blood lead screening 6 months to 6 years
  • Sickle cell screening if specified race
  • Neonatal screening

At the Johnson County Health Department, we are dedicated to the prevention of disease and the promotion of wellness for our community. In order to protect the health of our clients and staff, we ask that no one enter our clinics with any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, rash, vomiting, or diarrhea. Services will not be provided to clients with these symptoms. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please call the Health Department to reschedule your appointment, and call your doctor for medical treatment.

    Fees for services are based on family size and income

    Partial payment can be made

    No one is denied service because of inability to pay
