The Johnson County Health Department provides Well Child and Young Adult
health exams which foster growth and development of healthy children and
young adults from 2 months of age to 21 years of age.
- To provide Well Child maintenance which includes
growth measurements, developmental screening, physical exams and laboratory
testing at age-appropriate times as recommended by the American Academy
of Pediatrics (AAP).
- To provide age-appropriate immunizations.
- To provide age-appropriate counseling of common
childhood concerns (nutrition, toilet habits, discipline, dental and
safety concerns).
- Recommended physical exams every one to two years between the ages of
6 to 21 years
- Blood lead screening 6 months to 6 years
- Sickle cell screening if specified race
- Neonatal screening
- KanBe Healthy Screenings
- School Health Assessments
- Sports Physicals
- Camp Physicals
- Health Assessments for Child Care

Paying for Well Child Care...
- Fees for services are based on family size and income
- Partial payment can be made
- No one is denied service because of inability to pay
