Serves Johnson County through identification, surveillance, education and control of communicable disease and biological attacks.

 

Disease Containment Program Includes:

  • Disease Containment Program: provides surveillance, investigation and intervention to guard against infectious diseases or bioterrorism events.

  • Immunization Program: provides immunizations for children and adults to protect against vaccine preventable diseases and for those traveling out of country.

  • Public Health Emergency Program:
    This program ensures the health and the safety of the residents of and visitors to Johnson County, in the event of a biological attack or large scale disease outbreak.

  • Outreach Nurse Program:
    Registered nurses are available to provide assessments, education and community resource information to persons living in Johnson County through home or office visits. These visits are conducted at no charge to the client.
