The Johnson County Health Department provides prenatal services in order to foster healthy growth and development during pregnancy and to promote a safe delivery for mother and baby.

The Johnson County Health Department provides Well Child and Young Adult health exams which foster growth and development of healthy children and young adults from 2 months of age to 21 years of age.

To prevent or correct health problems caused by poor nutrition by:

  • Providing nutritious food vouchers to supplement participant's diets
  • Providing nutrition education to increase the participant's understanding of nutrition
  • Encouraging regular health care and making appropriate referrals

The Johnson County Health Department provides Women's and Men's Health and Family Planning Services which promote optimal health throughout the life cycle. This program strives to improve the health of families through the advantageous timing and spacing of pregnancies as well as the detection and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.

At the Johnson County Health Department, we are dedicated to the prevention of disease and the promotion of wellness for our community. In order to protect the health of our clients and staff, we ask that no one enter our clinics with any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, rash, vomiting, or diarrhea. Services will not be provided to clients with these symptoms. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please call the Health Department to reschedule your appointment, and call your doctor for medical treatment.
